The Camden Riversharks is interested in attracting local university media to report on the 2011 season and that is why I am contacting the Bucknellian. The management would like to extend the opportunity for journalism students to attend any of our upcoming games. Our opening game will be the evening of May 3rd where the Riversharks will face the Long Island Ducks at 7:00 PM.
Prior to the start of the season, we will be scheduling a Media Day during Spring Training sometime in the beginning of April. I will notify you when the exact date is set. At that time, we will be opening the ballpark to the media to meet, interview and watch the team on the field. If you would like to be included in our Media Day, receive press releases or attend a game to report on, please email me with your updated contact information so I can provide you detailed instructions for the upcoming season.
This is a great opportunity for students to get experience in the professional journalism field while networking and building their resumes and portfolios.
